High School Experience at PVCP
PVCP stands out in its utilization of elements of a semi-classical education rooted firmly in Christian truth.
This approach develops the student in public speaking, emphasizes personal discipline, promotes an understanding of Western Civilization, and fosters a sense of civic duty and service. Socratic seminars provide students an outlet for exchanging ideas and challenging their classmates, thereby training them to think critically, teaching students not what to think but how to think. Being a critical thinker allows students to define and recognize Truth for the rest of their lives.
Elective Tracks
Elective tracks allow upper school students to choose a concentration within an area of interest. Course offerings within a given track will change from year-to-year and may be either half-year or full year courses.
Clubs or extracurricular activities may offer additional opportunities for your students within these areas.
Athletics at PVCP
PVCP's athletics programs are formed as a fun and competitive way to develop the whole individual. Sports can teach many useful life skills such as working together, grace in victory and defeat, and endurance while working toward a worthy goal. Coaches include spiritual discipline and character development in all aspects of their programs while motivating students to work to the best of their abilities.
