Bethany Hanson

MS Volleyball Head Coach

Welcome to MS Volleyball! I'm Coach Hanson & I played volleyball & basketball from 7th grade through 12th grade. I also played volleyball for a year in college at Southwestern (now ACU). Over the course of 22 years, I have coached various sports (volleyball, basketball & soccer) in both school & church settings. My Jr. High coaches taught me how to work hard & have fun! However, my favorite coach will always be my dad who was an athlete & coach himself. He was patient and full of grace when teaching young people any sport. I had the privilege of being his coaching assistant in high school which began my understanding of what a good coach looks like from a young age.

I love watching players develop new skills & grow in their love for their sport. Below you will find some important  information that I see will help our team through understanding our roles, my expectations, team goals, & even keeping our physical bodies fueled to play volleyball. Most importantly, I do not expect perfection. I do expect:

Let's have a great season!

Hadley Woods

Assistant Volleyball Coach

My name is Hadley Woods, I’m a sophomore at GCU and I’m majoring in Behavioral Health science with a minor in Social work. I’ve played volleyball throughout elementary and middle school but stopped playing after my freshman year of high school to focus on basketball. I’ve been playing basketball since I was a little girl, and it’s always been my favorite sport. Our high school team won the district championship 3 years in a row and we made it to the state championship 2 years in a row. I love everything about basketball.
Since I was 13, I’ve been babysitting and involved in helping with the childcare at my church. I feel like God has called me to help people, specifically kids, and I find so much joy in doing that. I’ve grown up in a Christian home all my life with parents who have a very strong faith in the Lord and have been the biggest role models for me and my walk with Christ. I’m so excited to work with these kids and watch their growth in their skills in both volleyball and basketball but also to watch their growth in their love for the Lord.
