Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory offers a competitive athletics program for boys and girls in middle school and upper school. The PVCP Panthers compete in the Canyon Athletic Association. In addition to training students to compete to the best of their ability and how to function as a member of a winning team, the athletic program at PVCP seeks to develop students spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. The goals of Panthers Athletics are to:
- Realize the value of participation
- Develop and improve Christian citizenship traits among the program’s participants
- Strive to win fairly and with Christian integrity
- Learn to lose with grace and humility
- Build school-wide spirit

Don played college baseball at the University of TN at Martin, and then moved on to play for the Cincinnati Reds’ minor league system. While in the minor leagues, Don earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Don began his full-time scouting career as an Area Scouting Supervisor with the Cincinnati Reds in ‘86. He also worked as a National Scouting Supervisor for the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates. From ‘93-‘95 Don was the Atlanta Braves Assistant Director of Scouting and National Scouting Supervisor, during which the Braves won the World Series. During this season, the AZ Diamondbacks were awarded an MLB franchise and hired Don as their first Director of Scouting.
In '99, Don became the Founder and President of Global Athletes Asset and Management Endorsement Services (GAAMES), an athlete representation firm. GAAMES represented 32 players in the top three rounds of the MLB draft, resulting in over $28M in negotiated signing bonuses and $6M in college scholarship plans. In 2011, Don assumed the role of VP of Athletics at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, where he grew the number of sports from eight to fifteen in a period of three years. He also served as ACU’s Head Baseball Coach in '13 where he led the team to the National Championship Tournament. After finishing the season ranked number one in the nation, three of ACU’s players were drafted in the '13 MLB draft.
Don is excited to be part of the PVCP family, and to serve the students as they pursue excellence in their academics while playing a sport they love.
There's no substitute for seeing PVCP
